Country music star Thomas Rhett will play two nights at The Wharf Amphitheater in Orange Beach, bringing his Very Hot Summer Tour to the Gulf Coast on May 25 and May 26. Both shows are set to begin at 7 p.m. at the outdoor venue, located at 23101 Canal Road along the Intracoastal Waterway.
Rhett, whose chart-topping career spans hits like “Die a Happy Man” and “Marry Me,” will use the Orange Beach stop to give fans an early listen to material from his forthcoming album, “Center Point Road.” The project has already been previewed through a string of singles, including “That Old Truck,” “Don’t Threaten Me with a Good Time” and “Remember You Young,” each offering a glimpse of the more personal, nostalgic direction of the new record.
The performances carry an extra layer of family history. Rhett is the son of veteran country singer-songwriter Rhett Akins, who built his own career in Nashville long before his son followed him into the business. Akins is also on the bill for both nights, giving audiences a rare chance to see two generations of the same family share a stage at the same show.
Rounding out the lineup are Russell Dickerson and Dustin Lynch, two of country music’s rising cross-genre acts. Dickerson, known for blending pop hooks with traditional country instrumentation, will perform tracks from his catalog including “Blue Tacoma.” Lynch, who has built a following with a similarly modern sound, is expected to draw from his EP “Ridin’ Roads” during his set.
The Wharf Amphitheater has become a regular stop for major country and pop touring acts during the spring and summer months, drawing fans from across Baldwin County and the broader Gulf Coast region to Orange Beach for outdoor concerts along the water.
