Newsworthy tips shed light on a matter of significant public interest. Do you have a news tip you want to share with our journalists? You can contact them directly by email, or you can send tips to our general newsroom inbox at [email protected].

A good tip is specific, backed up by evidence or documentation, and includes the names of people or organizations whom we can contact to verify the information.

We review all messages we receive but may not respond to all of them. If our reporters have questions, they may reach out to you on the platform where you contacted us.

What Helps Us Most

• Be specific. Dates, locations, and the names of the people or agencies involved let us start verifying right away.
• Send documentation if you have it. Records, correspondence, photos, video, or meeting agendas are far more useful than a summary alone.
• Tell us how to reach you. Most tips need at least one follow-up question before we can report on them.
• Tell us if something is sensitive. Note it in your message and we will discuss how your information would be handled before we use it.
