Baldwin County Teacher Found Guilty on Drug Charges in 2008

James Bullard, April 10, 2008

A Loxley Elementary School math teacher was found guilty on drug charges in a Baldwin County courtroom in April 2008, according to WKRG.

The report said the Baldwin County Drug Task Force had raided Christy Byrd Philips’ Robertsdale home in December 2006 and found methamphetamine and marijuana. School-system officials said the superintendent would recommend terminating her contract; Philips had been on paid administrative leave since her arrest.

This is a historical summary of a 2008 conviction report.
