DNA testing has positively identified human remains found inside a burned-out rental car in Grand Bay earlier this year as those of Terri Sullivan, authorities said.
Sullivan was reported missing after she left her mother’s home in Tibbie one morning in January. She had been on her way to work as a nurse at Springhill Medical Center.
Her husband, Samuel Sullivan, and his ex-wife, Jenny Sullivan, are charged with capital murder and kidnapping. They are expected to appear in court next month.
The identification brings a measure of closure to a case that has drawn attention across south Alabama, though legal proceedings against the two suspects are ongoing.
