Several Fairhope road closures set for Sept. 2-3
FAIRHOPE, Ala. ( WALA ) – Two road closures are scheduled in Fairhope this week, according to Fairhope Public Utilities.
Nichols Avenue will be closed from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, between Young Street and South Ingleside Street while crews complete a residential utility service connection.
South Mobile Street will be closed from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, between Pier Avenue and White Avenue while crews remove multiple storm-damaged trees.
Traffic will be detoured using Pier Avenue, Nichols Avenue and White Avenue. The sidewalk in the work area will also be closed, according to the utility.
The utility is asking drivers to plan ahead, follow posted detour signs and use caution around crews working in these areas.
