The Mobile Fire-Rescue Department responded to a fire at an abandoned apartment building in the Birdville community late Friday night.
According to an MFRD news release, crews responded to a call of a fire at the apartment complex around 9:36 p.m. Friday, Aug. 7, near Raven Drive and Cardinal Drive W. When firefighters arrived, the building was surrounded by heavy flames.
Officials said the apartment complex is abandoned. A Mobile Police Department spokesperson told News 5 that no one was injured while crews battled the fire.
