Mobile Man Arrested After Alleged Assault at Government Boulevard Motel, Police Say

A Mobile man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting another man during an early morning argument at a Government Boulevard motel, according to the Mobile Police Department.

According to an MPD news release, officers were called to the Beverly Motel at 4384 Government Boulevard just after 5:30 a.m. Friday in reference to an assault. When officers arrived, they found a man with minor injuries, who was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

During the investigation, officers learned the man had allegedly been struck by another man with a flashlight and an unknown object during an argument.

Thomas Cholar, 54, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault, according to police. He was booked into Mobile County Metro Jail.
