National Weather Service in Mobile Tracked Ida in 2009

James Bullard, November 8, 2009

National Weather Service staff in Mobile were closely tracking Ida in November 2009, according to a WKRG report.

Forecasters increased staffing and warned that the system could bring strong winds, power outages and flooding in low-lying areas even if it did not retain hurricane strength at landfall.

This is a historical summary of a 2009 forecast report. It is not current weather guidance.
