The City of Prichard is asking residents for patience as its Public Works Department works through delays affecting trash and garbage pickup citywide.
Officials say the delays stem from staff shortages and that normal schedules should resume “real soon.” The city emphasized that collections will continue, though the pace may be slower than usual.
In a statement, Prichard said it is working to secure and deploy the resources needed to support curbside collections while keeping Public Works employees safe, and pledged to share updates on temporary route changes as they develop.
