The Tacos & Tequila Festival returns to Foley next month, taking over Heritage Park at 200 N. McKenzie St. for two days of food, drink, live music and family activities.
Dates and Hours
The festival runs Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Tickets are $5, and admission is free for children 12 and under.
The Food
All food vendors will serve tacos or Hispanic dishes along with other menu items, giving the event a consistent culinary theme rather than the general festival-food mix common at outdoor events.
That focus is the point of a single-subject food festival. When every vendor is working within the same broad category, attendees can compare approaches directly across a lineup — different proteins, different tortillas, different salsas — in a way a general food festival does not allow.
Food trucks and snack vendors will be on site in addition to the taco vendors.
The Drinks
Multiple bars will serve tequila drinks along with beer and wine.

Tribute bands will perform throughout the weekend, with the Velcro Pygmies taking the stage Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
