For the second December running, an anonymous giver slipped a gold Krugerrand worth more than $1,300 into a red kettle at the Daphne Walmart.
The Salvation Army of Coastal Alabama has collected about $30,000 so far this Red Kettle season, with a goal of topping $200,000 by year's end.
