Theodore Man Charged With Assault After Shooting on Dauphin Island Parkway

A Theodore man is in custody after Mobile police say he shot another man during an argument last week. The Mobile Police Department said officers responded to the 9200 block of Dauphin Island Parkway just before 7 p.m. Thursday, July 16, following a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from life-threatening injuries, and he was taken to a local hospital, according to police. His current condition has not been released.

Investigators said the man had been shot by someone he knew following an argument between the two. Police identified the suspect as Robert Faircloth, 49, who was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.

Faircloth was booked into Metro Jail following his arrest, according to police. The Mobile Police Department’s investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
