Fire truck in Theodore, Alabama

Van Fire Damaged Theodore Home in 2008

James Bullard, April 25, 2008

Historical public-safety report, published from archived WKRG coverage.

A vehicle fire damaged a home on General Lee Avenue in Theodore in April 2008, according to an archived WKRG report.

Mobile Fire Department crews found the vehicle, carport and house on fire after receiving the early-morning call. The fire spread to the attic and through the roof.

Investigators said the fire appeared to begin under the vehicle’s hood near the battery and could have involved faulty wiring. The report estimated about $165,000 in damage and said no one was injured.

This is a historical report of a past fire, not a current emergency notice.
