Country music star Travis Tritt will bring an acoustic show to downtown Mobile’s Saenger Theatre on Sunday, April 15, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets, ranging from $42 to $87, are available through Ticketmaster.
Tritt has made regular stops in Mobile throughout his career, and the upcoming performance continues a long relationship between the singer and the historic downtown venue. Rather than a full-band arena show, this stop is expected to showcase Tritt in a stripped-down format, giving fans an up-close look at the songwriting and musicianship behind his catalog of hits.
Tritt’s rise to country stardom began in 1989 with the release of “Country Club,” the title track of his debut album. That record produced a string of chart-topping singles, including “Help Me Hold On,” “I’m Gonna Be Somebody” and “Drift Off to Dream,” all of which reached No. 1. In the years since, he has built a catalog of top 10 hits spanning multiple gold and platinum albums, and he has been recognized with numerous Country Music Association and Grammy Awards.
His most recent release, “A Man and His Guitar: Live from the Franklin Theatre,” captures Tritt in a similarly intimate setting, offering acoustic, stripped-down versions of well-known songs such as “Help Me Hold On,” “Anymore” and “Best of Intentions.” The live album also includes previously unheard performances of “Come and Go Blues” and “Pickin’ At It,” giving longtime fans fresh material alongside familiar favorites.
The Saenger Theatre, located at 6 S. Joachim St. in downtown Mobile, has long served as one of the city’s premier venues for touring musical acts, hosting everything from country and rock shows to symphony performances and holiday concerts. An acoustic-format show from an artist of Tritt’s stature is expected to draw fans from across the Gulf Coast region.
Fans interested in attending the April 15 show are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance through Ticketmaster, as touring acoustic performances at the Saenger have historically drawn strong local interest.
