A popular Gulf Shores seafood restaurant is pressing pause on service after coming into contact with COVID-19.
DeSoto’s Seafood Kitchen announced it is temporarily closing for a deep cleaning. Staff members were told they can isolate while the restaurant undergoes the cleaning process. The restaurant has not announced a reopening date but said it hopes to welcome customers back soon.
The temporary closure comes as Baldwin County and the Alabama Gulf Coast continued to grapple with the coronavirus pandemic. Restaurants across the region have adopted enhanced sanitation measures, and several have temporarily shuttered when employees or patrons were potentially exposed.
DeSoto’s, a long-standing Gulf Shores establishment known for its seafood, asked for patience from its customers as it works to reopen safely.
