Fairhope singer-songwriter Corey Rezner will bring his original brand of acoustic-driven music to the waterfront stage at Lucy Buffett’s LuLu’s in Gulf Shores on Tuesday, April 30, giving Baldwin County residents and visitors a free evening of live entertainment as the sun sets over the water.
The show, set to begin at 5 p.m., is free and open to the public at the popular waterfront complex located at 200 E. 25th Ave. LuLu’s has built a reputation over the years for pairing its laid-back, tropical atmosphere with performances from some of the region’s most notable musical talent, and organizers say a midweek slot does little to dampen the venue’s energy once warm weather settles over the Gulf Coast.
Rezner, who calls Fairhope home, has spent years touring outside the region, and friends and collaborators say that time on the road has shaped the songwriting he brings back to south Alabama stages. His music draws on a mix of personal experience and travel, resulting in original songs that hold up whether he is performing solo with an acoustic guitar or backed by a full band.
Rezner holds the distinction of being the first artist signed to Baldwin County Records, a label with local roots. That partnership led him into Admiral Bean Studio, where he worked alongside producer and musician Anthony Crawford, known locally for his work with the acts Sugarcane Jane and Willie Sugarcapps. The sessions produced Rezner’s debut album, “Mercy,” which features warm, layered production built around acoustic arrangements that balance rhythm and emotional weight.
For Gulf Shores visitors and Baldwin County locals alike, the free Tuesday show offers an easy way to unwind midweek without leaving the coast. LuLu’s waterfront setting along the Intracoastal Waterway has long made it a go-to stop for both tourists and area residents looking to catch live original music with a view.
