A fire that broke out early Thursday morning at Al’s Tire on St. Stephen’s Road in Prichard has been officially ruled an arson by the Prichard Police Department.

The fire was reported at approximately 1 a.m. on April 14 at the tire business. Firefighters responded to the scene and were able to bring the blaze under control.

No confirmed injuries were reported as a result of the fire. The extent of the damage to the business was not immediately disclosed.

Prichard Police Department investigators determined the fire was intentionally set. However, officials have not released information about whether they have identified a suspect or person of interest in the case.
