Tinsel and Tailgates Kick Off Foley Main Street’s Holiday Season With Passports, a Turkey Hunt and a Food and Drink Trail
November's Third Thursday on Nov. 19 pairs game-day colors with glow necklaces and live music, while the Merry and Bright trail runs through Jan. 2.
FOLEY, Ala. — Downtown Foley is gearing up for a full holiday season, and Foley Main Street has a lineup to match, with food and drink trails, live music, scavenger hunts and festive Third Thursday celebrations. Local businesses across the historic district are participating in several of the programs.
Tinsel and Tailgates: Nov. 19
The season’s big kickoff comes Thursday, Nov. 19, with the November Third Thursday event, themed “Tinsel and Tailgates.” Attendees are welcome to wear favorite game-day colors with a touch of holiday sparkle.
The Foley Main Street team will be at FEAST handing out bright orange glow necklaces for strolling the sidewalks, shops and restaurants. Across the street, South Baldwin Social will celebrate its second anniversary the same evening. Live music is planned throughout the historic district.
Sixth Annual Turkey Hunt
Running through Thanksgiving, the Sixth Annual Downtown Foley Turkey Hunt hides turkeys in photos of participating businesses posted on Facebook and Instagram. Participants can enter daily for a chance to win a share of $1,500 in gift cards donated by local merchants.
Passport points
Visitors can earn rewards through the Downtown Foley Passport program by checking in at participating Third Thursday businesses and at stops along the Merry and Bright Food and Drink Trail. The trail runs from Nov. 1, 2026, through Jan. 2, 2027, and awards 25 passport points at each downtown stop.
Merry and Bright Downtown
December brings another Third Thursday event, themed “Merry and Bright Downtown.” Organizers listed the date as Dec. 19; since the third Thursday of December falls on Dec. 17, those planning to attend should confirm the date with Foley Main Street.
Whether the draw is live music, early holiday shopping or the interactive trails, Foley Main Street says downtown will have something for nearly every age group and interest.
