A forestry festival celebrating timber heritage and woodcutting traditions

Jackson’s 44th Forestry Festival Needs a New Logo, and Organizers Want the Area’s Timber Roots to Show

James Bullard, July 15, 2026

Organizers of the 44th annual Forestry Festival in Jackson are seeking artists, designers and creative thinkers to design the festival’s official logo, with the winning design set to appear on advertising, merchandise and social media promotion for the Clarke County event.

Organizers say they want a design that represents forestry, community and the spirit of the annual festival, suggesting designers draw inspiration from the area’s timber heritage, its working forests, outdoor traditions, and the people who make the festival a community celebration each year. The logo should be clear and easily recognizable across formats, from print advertising to social media graphics.

The submission deadline is July 31. Designs should be emailed to cclark@jacksonalabama.org, with submissions required to include the designer’s name, phone number, email address and a brief description of the design and its inspiration. Anyone with questions about the contest can contact the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce at 251-246-3251 or visit www.jacksonalabama.org.

The Forestry Festival’s 44-year run reflects the deep ties between Jackson and the timber industry that has long shaped Clarke County’s economy, with the festival itself functioning as an annual celebration of that heritage alongside its community and entertainment offerings.
