Mobile Fire-Rescue crews responded to a house fire late Monday night, July 20, at a vacant home on the 1300 block of Terrell Road.
According to a Mobile Fire-Rescue Department spokesperson, crews were dispatched to the scene around 9:50 p.m. Heavy vegetation on both sides of the property made it difficult for firefighters to reach the structure. The fire reportedly started at the right corner of the home, with flames later emerging from the back of the building.
No one was living in the home at the time, though officials said snakes and turtles were found inside. Crews were able to extinguish the fire, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
