Mobile Police announced that officers would conduct checkpoints in the department’s Fourth Precinct on Thursday, March 13, 2008.
The checkpoints were to focus on driver’s licenses, vehicle registrations, proof of insurance and seat-belt use. Police did not disclose the locations, but said officers would be working during the day.
At the time, the Fourth Precinct was described as the area west of Interstate 65, north of Airport Boulevard and east of Cody Road.
