PENSACOLA, Fla. — The Pensacola Police Department says it will have more officers than usual downtown Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day parade after five shootings in the Pensacola area in the past week.
Police said they are hoping for a peaceful parade as the community gathers to honor the civil rights leader who preached non-violence. Officers are encouraging anyone who ‘sees something, say something’ and to call 911 with a detailed description and location if they notice anything suspicious.
