MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama is holding its Pro Day at the school’s fieldhouse and practice fields, where a group of former Jaguars will work out in front of scouts from the National Football League and the Canadian Football League.

Former South Alabama players expected to take part include:
- Quarterback Ross Metheny
- Wide receiver Bryant Lavender
- Defensive end Pat Moore
- Linebacker Bryson James
- Linebacker Enrique Williams
- Center Matt Calcagnini
- Defensive back Tyrell Williams
- Defensive back Charles Watson
- Linebacker Clifton Crews
- Defensive back Darrius Morrow
- Outside linebacker/safety David Hawkins
Players from other schools will also participate, including former South Alabama running back Demetre Baker, who played last season at Faulkner University. Other participants have ties to the Mobile area.
Schedule of Events
The workout begins at noon with players taking the Wonderlic test, followed by official height and weight measurements and other measurables.
Testing then moves to physical drills, including the 225-pound bench press, timed 40-yard dashes, the vertical jump and the long jump. Players will finish with position drills.
Teams Expected
NFL teams expected to attend include Miami, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Seattle, Jacksonville and New Orleans. The Lions and Rough Riders are expected to represent the CFL.
South Alabama competes in the Sun Belt Conference under head coach Joey Jones.
