Southwest Mobile County Chamber’s Kids Day Set to Give Away Over 1,000 Backpacks July 25
The Southwest Mobile County Chamber's annual Kids Day event returns July 25, with organizers planning to give away more than 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies.
Kids Day, one of the Southwest Mobile County Chamber’s signature community events, is returning this month with a large-scale backpack giveaway aimed at helping local families get ready for the new school year.
The event is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 25. Organizers expect to distribute more than 1,000 backpacks filled with school supplies to families in need across southwest Mobile County, continuing a tradition the chamber has built around the back-to-school season.
Beyond the backpack giveaway, Kids Day will include family-friendly activities along with a lineup of community resources and vendors on hand to share information and services with attendees. The event is designed to bring multiple community organizations together in one place, making it easier for families to access resources ahead of the school year.
