Graham’s path to photography ran through twelve years of active-duty Navy service in aviation avionics, where he graduated at the top of his class. His specialty was almost impossibly precise: micro-miniature repair performed under a microscope, fixing components most people would need magnification just to see. Much of his career was spent deployed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt in the Persian Gulf, keeping aircraft electronics mission-ready.
He left the Navy in 1997 and went to work as an electronics expert for a government logistics contractor in Pensacola.
