Gulf Shores is set to host one of the state’s most physically demanding competitions this summer.

Alabama’s Strongest Man Challenge will take place at The Hangout, one of the city’s most well-known waterfront venues. The competition is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 15, running from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The competition will feature strength athletes going head-to-head in a series of challenging events testing raw power and endurance. The family-friendly event is open to the public, and attendees are advised to arrive early and bring seating.
