Mobile Police have charged a 42-year-old man with murdering his girlfriend after she was shot at a Magnolia Road home this week.
Jason Cooley was taken into custody early Tuesday and booked into Mobile Metro Jail shortly after 3 a.m. on a murder charge in the death of Selwondra Pugh, also 42.
Police said Pugh was shot three times in the stomach around 9 p.m. Monday at a home in the 400 block of Magnolia Road. She was rushed to a hospital, where she died from her injuries.
Friends knew Pugh as Shay. She leaves behind three daughters.
