Citronelle police are searching for a man facing two felony warrants after authorities said he shot at his ex-girlfriend inside her home.
Joshua Skipper is wanted on warrants for shooting into an occupied dwelling and for certain persons forbidden to carry a pistol, according to the department.
What Police Say Happened
Officers were sent to a home on North Fifth Street Oct. 18 after a 911 hang-up call. Before they arrived, police said they reached the woman, who reported that Skipper shot at her inside the home.
According to the news release, the pair argued before Skipper pulled out a handgun and pointed it at her. Investigators believe she ducked as he fired, and the bullet missed her, passed through the wall behind her and entered a neighboring home. No one — including a resident of that second home — was injured. Skipper had left by the time officers arrived.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected. Anyone with information on Skipper’s whereabouts is asked to contact Citronelle police.
