Holy Spirit Episcopal Church recently presented three grants to local non-profits, pushing its total giving in the area to a milestone of $1.4 million.
The church awarded $10,000 to Wilmer Hall, a non-profit that provides a safe home for children and young adults in need due to poverty, abuse, neglect and homelessness. Another $10,000 went to Camp Beckwith, the spiritual center of the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast located on the shores of Weeks Bay. The center serves the church and wider community through youth camps and adult retreats.
The church also presented a $10,000 grant to the South Baldwin Literacy Council, a non-profit dedicated to providing literacy instruction to help local residents build better lives for themselves and their families.

Holy Spirit Episcopal Church donates all profits from its thrift shop, located at 6798 State Hwy. 59 in Gulf Shores, to local non-profits. The shop is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
