Local band BUNCH, which includes former members of El Cantador, plays two nearby Gulf Coast shows in September. On Sept. 21 the group opens for the Chris Staples Band at Vinyl Music Hall in Pensacola, Fla. The following night, Sept. 22, BUNCH returns to downtown Mobile with Amasa Hines at The Merry Widow, from 9 p.m. to midnight.
The Merry Widow, at 51 S. Conception St., charges a $10 entry fee for what promises to be a strong night of local music. BUNCH recently spoke about its appearance at Secret Stages 2016 in Birmingham, and with all of its music still unreleased, the Mobile shows offer a first listen for fans.
Supporting independent venues like The Merry Widow keeps downtown Mobile’s music scene alive, and BUNCH’s blend of new material makes this a worthwhile stop for area listeners.
