Roberts Brothers Agent Lorena Gregorius Receives Baldwin REALTORS 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award

Roberts Brothers, Inc. agent Lorena Gregorius has been named the Baldwin REALTORS 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award winner, an honor reserved for REALTORS with more than 25 years in the profession and at least a decade of association membership.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — Longtime Roberts Brothers, Inc. agent Lorena Gregorius has received the Baldwin REALTORS 2026 Lifetime Achievement Award, one of the most significant honors the county’s professional real estate association can give to one of its own members.

The recognition, announced Friday, celebrates a career that the association and her brokerage say has been defined by leadership, deep market knowledge and steady service to clients, fellow agents and the organization itself.

For Gregorius, the award places her among a select group of Baldwin County real estate professionals whose work has been measured not in a single strong year of sales, but across decades.

What the Lifetime Achievement Award Recognizes

Baldwin REALTORS reserves the Lifetime Achievement Award for practitioners with long careers and a lasting connection to the association. To be eligible, a nominee must be a REALTOR with more than 25 years of experience in the profession, including at least 10 years as an active member of Baldwin REALTORS.

Those thresholds alone narrow the field considerably. Real estate is a business with substantial turnover, and many people who earn a license do not remain in the field for a quarter century. Reaching that mark while also staying active in the local association for a decade or more reflects a sustained commitment to both the work and the professional community around it.

Beyond longevity, the award is meant to honor a career built on several specific qualities, according to the association’s criteria:

  • Leadership within the profession and the community
  • Vision for the industry and the local market
  • Dedication to clients and colleagues
  • Service to the Baldwin REALTORS association
  • Commitment to the REALTOR Code of Ethics

In other words, the honor is not simply a recognition of sales volume. It is designed to spotlight members whose conduct and involvement have helped shape the standards of the profession in Baldwin County.

Roberts Brothers Congratulates Gregorius

Roberts Brothers, Inc., the brokerage where Gregorius works, praised her in a statement marking the announcement.

“Roberts Brothers congratulates Lorena on this high honor and well-deserved recognition and thanks her for the many years she has dedicated to serving her clients, agents and Baldwin REALTORS,” the company said.

The company added that the award speaks to the kind of professional Gregorius has been throughout her career.

“This honor is a reflection of her strong relationships, extensive knowledge and commitment to her peers and community,” the company said.

The statement highlights three groups Gregorius has served over the years: the buyers and sellers she has represented, the agents she has worked alongside, and the association itself. That combination of client work and professional service is central to what the Lifetime Achievement Award is intended to recognize.

Why the REALTOR Code of Ethics Matters

One of the award’s stated criteria is a commitment to the REALTOR Code of Ethics, a standard that sets REALTORS apart from real estate licensees in general.

Not every licensed real estate agent is a REALTOR. The term “REALTOR” is a registered trademark of the National Association of REALTORS and may be used only by members of that organization, who typically join through a local association such as Baldwin REALTORS and a state association. As a condition of membership, REALTORS agree to abide by the association’s Code of Ethics, which was first adopted in 1913.

The code lays out duties that members owe to their clients and customers, to the public and to other real estate professionals. Among its core principles are honesty in dealings, protecting and promoting clients’ interests, treating all parties fairly, and cooperating with other practitioners. Members are also required to complete periodic ethics training to maintain their membership.

Because the code is enforced through the association rather than through state licensing law alone, local associations play an important role in upholding it. That is one reason an award honoring a member’s commitment to the code carries particular weight among peers.

The Role of a Local REALTOR Association

Baldwin REALTORS serves as the professional trade association for REALTORS who work in Baldwin County. Local associations of this kind generally provide continuing education, professional development and networking opportunities for members, help administer ethics standards, and give members a collective voice on issues that affect property owners and the real estate business.

Members often volunteer their time on committees, help organize educational programs and mentor newer agents. Service to the association is one of the specific qualities the Lifetime Achievement Award is meant to recognize, and the brokerage’s statement thanked Gregorius for the years she has dedicated to Baldwin REALTORS in particular.

For newer agents entering the field, members with long careers can be a valuable resource. Experienced practitioners have seen multiple market cycles, changes in lending conditions and shifts in how homes are marketed and sold, and they often pass that knowledge along through formal and informal mentoring.

Real Estate in a Fast-Changing County

A career spanning more than 25 years in Baldwin County real estate means working through considerable change. Baldwin County has been one of the fastest-growing counties in Alabama for years, drawing new residents to communities along the Eastern Shore, in the central part of the county and on the Gulf Coast beaches.

That growth has brought new subdivisions, expanding commercial corridors and steady demand for homes, as well as challenges such as rising home prices, insurance costs and pressure on roads and schools. Agents who have worked the market for decades have guided clients through those changes, along with broader national swings in the housing and mortgage markets.

Long-tenured professionals often build their businesses largely on referrals and repeat clients, which is part of why Roberts Brothers pointed to Gregorius’ “strong relationships” as a defining feature of her career.

About Roberts Brothers

Roberts Brothers, Inc. is a residential real estate brokerage serving Mobile and Baldwin counties. Like other large brokerages on the Gulf Coast, the firm has many affiliated agents, and recognition of one of its veterans by the local association reflects on the company as well as on the individual agent.

What the Honor Means

Peer recognition holds a special place in professional circles because it comes from people who understand the day-to-day demands of the work. A Lifetime Achievement Award from a local REALTOR association signals that colleagues view the recipient’s career as one worth emulating, both for its accomplishments and for the way the work was done.

For Gregorius, the 2026 award adds a formal capstone to the years of client service, professional involvement and ethical practice that her brokerage and her association have now publicly recognized.

For residents and prospective homebuyers and sellers in Baldwin County, the recognition is also a reminder that local real estate associations maintain standards for their members and that those standards, including the Code of Ethics, are part of what clients can expect when they work with a REALTOR.
