Minority-owned businesses across three counties have until Sept. 21 to apply for the Mobile Chamber’s 2026 Eagle Awards.
The awards recognize local minority-owned businesses for their achievements and contributions to the community and the local economy.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, a business must:
- Have been in business at least three years
- Have 100 or fewer employees
- Be a privately owned, for-profit entity
- Be headquartered in Mobile, Baldwin or Washington counties
The three-year threshold and the employee cap together define the target: established businesses past the startup phase, but still small enough that recognition and visibility carry real weight.
The Ceremony
Winners will be honored at the chamber’s Eagle Awards Luncheon and Ceremony on Oct. 30 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Battle House Renaissance Mobile Hotel & Spa.
What Winners Receive
Beyond the award itself, winning companies will be featured in:
- The chamber’s weekly email newsletter
- The chamber website
- Social media
- Digital displays
That promotional package is arguably the more valuable part. For a business with fewer than 100 employees, sustained exposure to a chamber’s full membership list is marketing that would be expensive to buy and difficult to replicate.
The Deadline
Applications close Sept. 21. Businesses that meet the criteria and intend to apply should account for the time it takes to assemble supporting material before that date.
