After more than a month of meeting remotely, the Mobile City Council is going back to its regular chamber. The council, which had gathered virtually since April 14 during the coronavirus pandemic, will resume in-person meetings at Government Plaza.
The return session is set for Tuesday, May 26 at 10:30 a.m. in the auditorium at Government Plaza, with the pre-council meeting at 9:00 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room on the building’s first floor.
Attendance is being limited so people can keep proper social distance inside the chamber. Residents who stay home are not shut out entirely: the city is accepting public comments by email at [email protected] up to 30 minutes before each meeting. Those comments will be acknowledged during the session, distributed to council members and entered into the official minutes.
