A Mobile man has pleaded guilty in the 2012 killing of a University of South Alabama student, according to the Mobile County District Attorney’s Office.
Tevin Wells entered a blind plea to felony murder in the death of Andrew Saxon, who was shot and killed at his home near the USA campus. Investigators said the only items taken in the robbery were video games.
Wells is one of three people charged in the case. Prosecutors said Quinten Godfrey, identified as the triggerman, pleaded guilty in 2016 and was sentenced to life in prison, while Christopher Case was also charged. A judge is scheduled to sentence Wells next month.
