A juvenile has been arrested in connection with a stolen car in Mobile, according to the Mobile Police Department. Police said officers were called to the 2900 block of McVay Drive on Friday, July 10, after a resident reported a car had been stolen.
The vehicle was later found abandoned in the middle of the road at the intersection of Shelton Drive and McVay Drive, police said. Investigators worked to identify a suspect in the days that followed.
Through their investigation, officers identified a juvenile male linked to the theft. He was arrested Thursday, July 16, and taken to the Strickland Youth Center, according to police.
The Mobile Police Department said the case remains under investigation.
