Semmes Double-Homicide Investigation Reported in 2008

James Bullard, June 19, 2008

Historical report preserved from an archived 2008 WKRG story.

Mobile Police investigated the deaths of a 29-year-old woman and her 2-year-old child at a mobile-home park in Semmes in 2008, according to an archived WKRG report.

Officers responded shortly after midnight to Alexis Place Mobile Home Park near Schillinger Road North and Moffett Road. The report said a 29-year-old man later approached a patrol officer at a nearby gas station and surrendered.

Investigators alleged that the man used a handgun to kill his wife and child. He was charged at the time with two counts of murder, and investigators said they had not determined a motive.
