7 Brew Opens Third Mobile Location on Dauphin Street; Drury, Origin Bank Celebrate
7 Brew opened its third Mobile drive-thru coffee stand on Dauphin Street, while Mac’s Fresh Produce, Drury Plaza Hotel and Origin Bank celebrated openings and Keesler FCU launched a $1 million debt relief round.
7 Brew opened its third Mobile drive-thru coffee stand on Dauphin Street this week, leading a busy stretch of Mobile business news that also included a grand reopening on Old Shell Road, a rebuilt hotel near Interstate 65, a relocated bank branch and a $1 million credit card debt relief program. Here is a look at what happened from Oct. 3 through Oct. 9 and what is coming up next.
7 Brew adds a third Mobile stand near Springhill
7 Brew opened its newest Mobile drive-thru coffee stand on Oct. 5 at 3180 Dauphin St., near Springhill Medical Center. It is the company’s third location in the city, joining existing stands on Airport Boulevard and Schillinger Road South.
The Dauphin Street site puts 7 Brew in the heart of a busy corridor that serves the hospital, nearby neighborhoods and commuters traveling between Midtown and west Mobile. Drive-thru coffee concepts have expanded rapidly across the Southeast in recent years, built around quick service and customizable drinks for customers who want their coffee without leaving the car.
With locations now spread across central, west and southwest Mobile, the chain has positioned itself along three of the city’s most heavily traveled routes.
Mac’s Fresh Produce celebrates grand reopening
Mac’s Fresh Produce marked its grand reopening Oct. 3 at 3251 Old Shell Road, folding the celebration into its third annual Fall Festival. The business highlighted changes to the store while hosting vendors, food trucks and family activities.
The festival format gave customers a chance to see the updated store while enjoying a fall outing, a combination that has become a seasonal tradition for the Old Shell Road market.
Drury Plaza Hotel Mobile hosts Chamber open house
Drury Plaza Hotel Mobile held its Mobile Chamber open house Oct. 7 at 812 West I-65 Service Road South. The 186-room hotel replaces the former Drury Inn & Suites property at the site and includes more than 1,900 square feet of meeting space.
The location along the I-65 service road offers easy access for travelers passing through Mobile as well as for business visitors and families in town for events. The added meeting space gives local organizations another option for gatherings, trainings and small conferences in west-central Mobile.
Origin Bank cuts the ribbon on new Mobile Financial Center
Origin Bank held its Chamber ribbon cutting Oct. 7 at its new Mobile Financial Center, 119 West I-65 Service Road North. The bank relocated the branch in September from its former Dauphin Street location.
Customers who previously banked at the Dauphin Street branch should note the new address on the I-65 service road.
Royal Restrooms joins the Chamber
Royal Restrooms celebrated its Mobile Chamber ribbon cutting Oct. 8 at the Chamber’s offices at 451 Government St. The company provides upscale portable restroom and shower facilities for events and other temporary uses.
Services like these are often used at weddings, outdoor festivals, construction sites and other gatherings where permanent facilities are limited, and they can also be useful during recovery efforts when plumbing or utilities are disrupted.
Keesler Federal Credit Union launches another $1 million Debt Eraser round
Keesler Federal Credit Union launched another $1 million round of its “Live Your Way” Debt Eraser program. Under the program, at least 500 eligible credit card members will receive up to $2,000 in debt relief.
Registration continues through Oct. 30. Members who carry a Keesler credit card balance and want to be considered should check their eligibility and register before the deadline.
For households managing credit card debt, even a partial payoff can reduce interest costs and monthly payments. Consumer finance experts generally recommend that anyone receiving debt relief use the opportunity to build a budget and, where possible, avoid running balances back up.

Crunch Fitness is preparing to open a new gym at 6300 Grelot Road in west Mobile. The company currently lists the Mobile club as “coming soon” and no opening date was given.
Once open, the club would add another fitness option for residents in that part of the city.
