BALDWIN COUNTY, Ala. — The Baldwin County Commission has secured grant funding for the next phase of construction on the County Road 65 Corridor Extension, with work expected to begin later this summer.
Phase II of the project will extend County Road 65 between County Road 28 and County Road 32, establishing a new segment of roadway and strengthening the north-south connection to a major east-west route in the area. Asphalt Services was awarded the $2.7 million construction contract for the work.
County officials say the project supports long-term plans to improve connectivity across Baldwin County, reduce congestion and improve travel for residents as the area continues to grow. The commission said grant funding secured for the project continues to play an important role in advancing major transportation improvements countywide.
