Bellingrath Gardens will celebrate the birthday of founder Walter Bellingrath on Saturday, Aug. 8, with a day of festivities open to local guests.

Residents of Mobile County and Baldwin County in Alabama, as well as Jackson County and George County in Mississippi, will receive free admission to the Gardens for the occasion.

Guests are invited to stroll the Gardens, celebrate Bellingrath’s legacy and take in the grounds’ seasonal blooms. The celebration will also include cake and Coca-Cola served in his honor.

Visitors should note that a valid ID showing proof of residency in one of the eligible counties will be required at the entrance to receive free admission.
