Bellingrath Gardens and Home in Theodore is inviting community organizations, businesses, and clubs to take part in its 7th Annual Balloon Glow in the Gardens, a family-friendly Halloween celebration scheduled for Saturday, October 29, 2011, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
A Unique Halloween Tradition in South Alabama
The Balloon Glow has become one of the most popular fall traditions at the historic Bellingrath estate, drawing hundreds of trick-or-treaters and their families each year. The event transforms the gardens into a glowing wonderland, featuring specially themed Halloween and fall-inspired illuminated inflatable figures that serve as trick-or-treat stations throughout the grounds.
Participants distributing treats and trinkets are encouraged to dress in costume, adding to the festive atmosphere of the evening. The event offers a safe, scenic alternative to traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating, set against the backdrop of one of the Gulf Coast’s most celebrated gardens.
Opportunities for Local Organizations
Local groups looking to raise their profile during one of Bellingrath’s busiest seasons can register to host a trick-or-treat station at the event. Each participating organization receives four complimentary passes for the evening, along with up to twenty half-price discount coupons valid from October 29 through November 24, 2011.
Organizations interested in participating were asked to complete a registration form and submit it to Bellingrath Gardens and Home by Friday, October 7, 2011.
