Inside the City
Lost Pizza, at 2540 Old Shell Rd., has built a following here and in Pensacola, with catering available for gatherings. Navco Pizza, a near-18-year institution at 1368 Navco Rd., remains a first-timer’s rite of passage. POST pairs its flatbread pizzas with signature cocktails and a wine bar at its downtown and west Mobile locations, often with live music on weekends. Joe’s Pizza & Pasta makes its pies to order at 9120 Airport Blvd., while Nino’s Pizza at 1222 Hillcrest Rd. serves New York-style slices alongside authentic Italian dishes, with curbside pickup available.
For build-your-own fans, MOD Pizza at 3980 Airport Blvd. offers more than 30 toppings on personal-size pies. Ashland Midtown Pub at 2453 Old Shell Rd. is a full-service pub that happens to turn out solid pizza — and brunch. Red or White Wine at 1104 Dauphin St. takes reservations and to-go orders Tuesday through Saturday. Worth the drive south is Vitolli’s Pizzeria & Italian Eatery, 21862 AL-59 in Robertsdale, open 4:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and closed Sunday and Monday.
