Veterans Day falls on Monday, Nov. 11, and restaurants and retailers across the Gulf Coast are marking the occasion with free meals, discounts and donations in honor of military service members.
Here is a rundown of the offers available to active-duty and retired military members with valid identification:
Free Meals and Entrées
Denny’s — Complimentary Build Your Own Grand Slam for veterans.
Olive Garden — Free entrées for past and present service members.
Sonny’s BBQ — Free pulled or sliced pork Big Deal Combo, dine-in only.
O’Charley’s — Free meal from the restaurant’s Veterans Thank You Menu.
Golden Corral — Free dinner buffet and beverage from 5 to 9 p.m.
Logan’s Roadhouse — Free American Roadhouse menu item from 3 to 6 p.m. at all locations nationwide.
Discounts and Extras
Baumhower’s — The Alabama-based chain is donating 5 percent of Veterans Day proceeds to the National Veterans Foundation.
Publix — 10 percent discount for all military service members.
MOD Pizza — Free MOD-size pizza or salad with the purchase of one of equal or greater value, in-store only at participating locations, limit one per customer.
AMC Theatres — AMC Stubs members with a valid military ID get a free large popcorn all weekend at participating theaters.
Cracker Barrel — A complimentary slice of Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake or a Pumpkin Pie Latte at all 660 locations nationwide.
