Mobile’s Make-Your-Own-Short-Film Challenge has wrapped its 10th edition, and the winners are in.
Twenty-three teams signed up for the 10th Mobile Bay Film Scramble, and 14 completed the challenge. Entrants drew a card from a Tarot deck and used its meaning to inspire a short film.
The audience favorite, voted by viewers at both screenings, was Team FartNaked’s art-film meltdown “Le Pouf De Nude,” which organizers noted may not be suitable for all audiences. The favorite among participating filmmakers was a video from Andrew Preston and Jessica Alise Townsend, longtime Film Scramble frontrunners.
The 10th scramble was sponsored by B&B Pet Stop, The Blind Mule, the Crescent Theater, the Mobile Arts Council and the Mobile Public Library. Screenings took place at the Crescent Theater on Dauphin Street and the Ben May Library on Government Street.
