MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one man injured near LeFlore High School on Monday.

According to an MPD spokesperson, officers responded to a report of a shooting around the 1900 block of Eoline Street on Monday, Aug. 3. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound described as minor and non-life-threatening. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police have not released information about what led up to the shooting or whether any suspects have been identified. MPD said the investigation remains active.

The 1900 block of Eoline Street sits in a residential area near LeFlore Magnet High School on Mobile’s north side. The department has not indicated whether the shooting is connected to the school in any way, and classes are not currently in session.
