Ten collegiate women’s soccer teams from across the country are headed to Orange Beach for the 39th annual NAIA Women’s Soccer National Championship, which runs from Tuesday, November 29 through Monday, December 5 at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.
The tournament bracket gets underway Tuesday, November 29 with first-round play. Quarterfinal matches follow on Thursday, December 1, and the semifinals are set for Saturday, December 3, with games at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. The national championship match closes out the week on Monday, December 5 at 1:05 p.m.
Teams earned their spots in Baldwin County through opening-round competition held November 17-19 at sites around the country.
Local residents are invited to come out to the Sportsplex throughout the week and cheer on the visiting programs as they chase the tournament’s 39th crown. The event has become a fixture of the Alabama Gulf Coast’s winter sports calendar, drawing players, coaches and fans to Orange Beach during the offseason shoulder season.
Organizers said ticket information would be announced ahead of the first round, with full bracket details available through the NAIA.
