A Prichard man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a woman he knew, according to the Mobile Police Department.
According to an MPD news release, officers responded to the 500 block of Springhill Plaza Court for a report of a domestic incident.
When officers arrived, they found a woman who had been physically assaulted by a man she knew. The man had left the scene before officers got there, but investigators were able to identify him and later located him.
Tyler Goff, 32, was arrested and charged with first-degree domestic violence and possession of marijuana.
Goff was taken to Metro Jail following his arrest.
First-degree domestic violence is a felony charge under Alabama law typically reserved for domestic incidents involving serious physical injury or the use of a deadly weapon. The Mobile Police Department did not release additional details about the nature of the woman’s injuries.
