MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama football enters National Signing Day on Wednesday with four junior college players already signed and 17 more prospects holding verbal commitments to the Jaguars.
Wednesday is the first day high school football prospects across the country may sign a National Letter of Intent. Verbal commitments are nonbinding until a prospect signs.
Already Signed
Four junior college transfers have signed letters of intent with South Alabama:

- James Bynes, TE, Dodge City Community College
- Quinton Lane, CB, Itawamba Community College
- Tyrone Williams, WR, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College

Local Ties
Two of the commitments, cornerback Jalen Thompson and offensive tackle Troy Thingstad, play at St. Paul’s Episcopal in Mobile. Seven of the 17 committed prospects are from Alabama.
