South Alabama Football to Stage Second Annual ‘Rumble’ Strength Showcase May 7 in Jag Gym

South Alabama football's second annual Rumble, a free strength and athleticism showcase featuring 15 players, is set for 6 p.m. May 7 in the Jag Gym.

MOBILE, Ala. — The University of South Alabama strength and conditioning staff and the Jaguar football team will hold their second annual “Rumble” at 6 p.m. Saturday, May 7, in the Jag Gym inside the HPELS building on campus.

Event Details

The Rumble will feature 15 South Alabama football players competing in a series of strength, explosiveness and athleticism events.

The event marks the conclusion of the football team’s winter and spring strength and conditioning program and its associated competitions.

Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

Program Background

South Alabama’s football program, led by head coach Joey Jones, began play in 2009. The Jaguars play their home games at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile.
