MOBILE, Ala. — South Alabama football will hold its 2013 Rumble in the Jungle tonight, Monday, April 29, at 7 p.m. in Jaguar Gym on the university’s campus. Admission is free.
The Rumble in the Jungle showcases the Jaguars in a series of strength competitions as part of the team’s offseason strength and conditioning program.
A Milestone Season Ahead
The event comes as South Alabama prepares for the 2013 season, its first as a full member of the Football Bowl Subdivision. The Jaguars will be eligible to compete for the Sun Belt Conference championship and for a bowl berth for the first time.
South Alabama completed its two-year transition to the FBS in 2012. Head coach Joey Jones has led the program since before its first season in 2009, and the Jaguars play home games at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
