MOBILE, Ala. — Single-game tickets for South Alabama’s 2012 home football games are now on sale, and season ticket sales are running ahead of last year’s pace, the athletics department announced.
Travis Toth, South Alabama’s associate athletic director for marketing, said season ticket sales are up 5 percent compared with the same point a year ago.
Home and Road Tickets Available
Fans can now buy single-game tickets for every Jaguars home game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium. Tickets are also on sale for South Alabama’s road games.
One exception applies. Tickets for South Alabama’s game against Mississippi State are being made available only to Jaguars season ticket holders and flex plan holders.
A New Stage for the Program
The 2012 season marks South Alabama’s first full season playing a Football Bowl Subdivision schedule and its first as a football member of the Sun Belt Conference. Coach Joey Jones has led the program since it began play in 2009.
The Jaguars face a 13-game schedule spread over 14 weeks and will open the season against UTSA.
Camp Opens Thursday
South Alabama’s preseason camp begins Thursday with a 6:30 p.m. practice, the first of three evening sessions before the team shifts to morning workouts. The preseason calendar includes three scrimmages, the last of them one week before the opener.
